LaFayette (WSYR-TV) – Neighbors in the LaFayette School District voted to approve a $12 million capital project on Friday.
District officials say the vote was 275 yes, and 229 no.
The proposal will pay for safety upgrades and renovations across the district.
It will also change the layout at Grimshaw Elementary and LaFayette Junior-Senior High School.
Nearly all of the funding will come from state aid – with no impact on taxpayers.
