Syracuse (WSYR-TV) - Labor Day marks the unofficial end of summer and the unofficial end to the season in Sylvan Beach.
With another season now coming to an end, local parks and beaches are beginning to look back on the past few months.
On an average summer weekend at Sylvan Beach, especially a holiday, officials can expect a crowd of 5,000 people at the amusement park alone.
But on this Labor Day, it seemed to be a ghost town at the amusement park, the beach, even the picnic area.
Looking past this Labor Day’s poor attendance, both the businesses and the patrons hope summer and some of the Sylvan Beach fun will continue into September and October
Sylvan Beach's amusement park continues to stay open Saturdays through October.
