Norfolk, VA (WSYR-TV) – Police in Norfolk, Virginia, say they got a number of calls on Tuesday about a baby “lion” on the loose. Turns out, it was a Labradoodle named “Charles the Monarch.”

The dog’s owner says Charles’ hairstyle is meant to look like a lion, but not to scare people. It’s cut to look like Old Dominion University’s official mascot – Big Blue, a friendly lion who’s king of the Monarchs.
