Laid off Orion bus workers to get new training

Albany (WSYR-TV) -- Governor Cuomo announced Wednesday that the State will use more than $800,000 to retrain the 270 bus workers that Orion laid off earlier this year.

The funding will help the workers get the tools they need to re-enter the workforce and connect them with local employers seeking to hire.

Back in April, Orion Bus announced it would merge with another company and stop making buses.
