Final weigh-in
Brewerton (WSYR-TV) Sunday is the last day for the Bassmaster Elite series on Oneida Shores. The four day tournament will finish up Sunday with a final weigh-in at 4:00pm. The check presentation ceremony will immediately follow the results.

Brewerton (WSYR-TV) – The world’s best fishermen are out on Oneida Lake for the start of the Annual Bassmaster Tournament. Dense fog covered Oneida Shores as four flights of 25 anglers began departing the harbor around 6am; by 6:30, all of the boats were in position.
The 2009 Bassmaster Elite series kicked off Thursday, and runs through Sunday at Oneida Lake. The tournament is the final regular season event of the 2009 Bassmaster season.
On the first day of the tournament, 100 anglers were part of the tournament. By the end of the day Friday, that number will be cut in half. The field of 50 pros will be narrowed down at the end of the day Saturday to just 12 anglers.
The winner will be named Sunday.
In addition to the pros, a select group of anglers will be taking part in the event for the first time as part of the inaugural season of the Bassmaster Elite Series Marshal program. They are placed on each angler’s boats to observe the tournament from a unique perspective.
Fans are encouraged to attend the daily launches at 6am and the weigh-ins at 4pm Thursday-Sunday.
Plenty of on-shore activity will take place over the weekend including a Trailblazer Adventure Day on Saturday from 9am-2:30pm which will introduce visitors of all ages to archery, firearm safety, fishing, trapping, game calling and more.
Country act Wendy Owens and Renegade band will appear on Saturday from 1pm-3pm. Also on Saturday, fans are invited to experience an “Ask the Experts” session with Elite pros at 3pm.
Kids adventure games such as bungee run, inflate a hoop, super castle moonwalk and spin art are scheduled for Saturday and Sunday. Dog training and retriever demonstrations will begin at 1pm on Saturday and Sunday followed by a boat performance and demonstration on Saturday.
Sunday’s activities will include a live taping of Hooked Up, hosted by ESPN Outdoors personalities Mark Zona and Tommy Sanders. The show, which will air live at 3:30pm on Bassmaster.com will preview Sunday’s final weigh-in.
All activities at the event are free and open to the public. Admission to the beach, open 11am-7pm, will be free and the boat launch, $5-$8, will be open.
