Syracuse (WSYR-TV) - Le Moyne College broke ground Thursday on its new science complex. The school is adding 48,000-square feet to its science building to house classrooms, laboratories and the schools largest lecture hall.
Recently, enrollment in the sciences has grown dramatically at Le Moyne.
"It's so important to Le Moyne students to have access to a world-class facility because they are the next generation of scientists and engineers and mathematicians - really the bedrock on which our entire economy is run," said Le Moyne Provost Linda Lemura.
The new science complex has a $20 million price tag.
