Syracuse (WSYR-TV) -- The Haun Welding Company has been raising money to benefit the Make-a-Wish Foundation.
On Tuesday, they met with Abby Moore. Abby is being treated for leukemia and her wish is to have a swimming pool put in her backyard. Since she gets chemotherapy, Abby has a port on her side, which means she can’t swim in lots of lakes and rivers.
Workers at Haun Welding spent three months getting creative to raise money.
“I’m absolutely amazed. I had no idea how many people were involved in this...but I didn't realize the tremendous amount of family that they are within this company,” said Abby’s mom Shauna Moore.
Altogether, workers raised about $9,000 for the Moore family. The pool will be installed this spring.
