Syracuse (WSYR-TV) - Manufacturers of a product made right here in Central New York got some national exposure Friday night on ABC's Shark Tank.
The show featured a product called "
Coffee Joulies" that claims to help regulate the temperature of your coffee.
After a heated discussion about sales strategy, the makers and the millionaires came to an agreement. With a few stipulations, the company that makes the product was awarded $150,000 to help grow the company.
Coffee Joulies look like stainless steel coffee beans and they help regulate the temperature of a cup of coffee. The device cools the coffee down when it gets too hot and keeps it warm for hours.
They are made at Sherrill Manufacturing – the old Oneida Limited Plant.
