Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – Tully High School graduate Lopez Lomong will be able to take a shot at an Olympic medal.

The Lost Boy of Sudan and former Black Knights track and cross country star tied for fourth in the semifinal round of the 5,000-meter event on Wednesday morning in London.

With the finish, he advances to the medal round on Saturday.

The event will be televised Wednesday after 1 p.m.
