Lots of kids home sick this winter break: What’s Going Around

Syracuse (WSYR-TV) -- Lots of Central New York children are spending winter break at home sick.

The stomach bug and strep are at the top of list for What’s Going Around.

Camillus: Dr. Rovall is seeing lots of positive strep tests. Other children have the stomach bug. Colds are going around and kids are developing an ear infection. She’s also seeing babies with broncholiolitis.

Cicero: Dr. Terasaka is seeing a stomach bug that lasts 24 to 48 hours. In addition, there’s a cold going around with a cough and laryngitis. He’s also seeing strep throat.

Liverpool: Dr. Dracker is seeing the stomach bug, bronchitis, and ear infections.

Syracuse: Brighton Hill Pediatrics checks in with strep throat and pink eye.

Auburn: In Auburn, doctors say they’re still seeing the flu, as well as bronchitis and sore throats.
