Madison County roads reopened after mudslides
Eaton (WSYR-TV) – Two roads in the town of Eaton reopened on Monday morning after another round of heavy rains created mudslides over the weekend.
Weeks of heavy rains have prompted multiple road closures and other problems in flooded areas including Madison, Oneida, and Herkimer counties.
In Eaton, a mudslide shut down Routes 20 and 26 overnight.
According to Madison County 911, when State Police arrived they reported two or three feet of mud across the roadway.
