Man airlifted to hospital after getting clothes caught in machine

BRIDGEPORT, NY (WSYR-TV) - A 40-year-old man was flown to the hospital after breaking bones and suffering a head injury while using an auger just before 6:30 p.m. Saturday

Bridgeport Fire Chief, Frank Thompson, told NewsChannel 9 that the man was digging holes at a field on State Route 31 in Bridgeport when his clothes became caught in the auger.

The man, who is not being identified, was flown to Upstate University Hospital by the Air-1 helicopter.
