Sullivan (WSYR-TV) -- Police say a Fayetteville man was driving with a blood alcohol content more than twice the legal limit when he caused a head on crash in the town of Sullivan on Wednesday.

Evan Koster’s blood alcohol level was .21 when he crossed the center line on Route 5 in the town of Sullivan, striking a 2005 Chevrolet pickup truck driven by 70-year-old Phillip J. Kelley, police said.

Kelley was taken to the hospital with chest pain. There is no word on his condition at this time.

Back in July of 2011, Police say Koster was driving drunk when he went off the road in the town of Madrid and struck a telephone pole.

Koster has been charged with aggravated DWI, driving while intoxicated and failure to keep right. He’s scheduled to appear in the Town of Sullivan Court on January 29.
