Man charged with manslaughter in deadly November beating
Syracuse (WSYR-TV) -- A Syracuse man has been charged with manslaughter after prosecutors say he fatally beat another man last November.
Eighteen-year-old Caleb Springer is accused of beating Geoffrey Scott after a fight between Scott and another woman. Scott was found lying unconscious on Wood Avenue in the city. He died from his injuries at the hospital two days later.
Springer could face up to 25 years in state prison if convicted.
