Man found dead in Syracuse with gunshot wounds

Syracuse (WSYR-TV) - The body of a 21 year old man was found with gunshot wounds in front of 111 Mariposa Street overnight. 

Police say Robert Parler of Union Place in Syracuse, was pronounced dead when they arrived at the scene at 1:20am Saturday morning.

The Syracuse Police Crime Scene Unit spent the morning processing evidence.

Detectives are calling the case a "very active" and ongoing homicide investigation.
