Man in serious condition after Syracuse shooting
SYRACUSE, NY (WSYR-TV) - Syracuse Police are investigating a shooting on Lydell Street that left a man in serious condition.
Around 1:00 Saturday morning, 37-year old Michael Davidson told police he was in his car, waiting for a friend at the corner of Hartson and Lydell Streets.
Davidson says he was approached by a Hispanic male who demanded his property. He tried to drive away and that's when police say the suspect fired one shot and hit Davidson in the upper right arm.
Investigators tell us the bullet went though Davidson's chest cavity. He was able to drive himself to his girlfriend's house in North Syracuse and was then taken to North Medical Urgent Care and eventually to Upstate Hospital.
Davidson underwent emergency surgery and is in serious but stable condition.
