Man pleads guilty to smashing windows at head shop after son’s overdose on bath salts
Watertown (WSYR-TV) -- A Watertown man has admitted to using a baseball bat to smash up a head shop last summer. He says he did it after his son overdosed on bath salts that were sold at Tebbs in Watertown.
Dan Avery, 49, pleaded guilty to criminal mischief on Monday.
Avery says he “went crazy” after a clerk showed him the products that sent his son to the hospital.
Avery will have to pay restitution for the damage he caused.
