Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – A Syracuse man already in prison for shooting at a police officer during an incident that preceded a prolonged standoff on the city’s South Side was indicted on multiple murder charges on Wednesday.

Aaron Jackson was indicted on a single count of murder in the first degree, along with two counts of murder in the second degree.

He was also indicted on several robbery charges, along with criminal possession of a weapon charges and making a punishable false written statement. All of the charges against Jackson are felonies.

If he is convicted of first degree murder, he could spend the rest of his life behind bars without possibility of parole.
