Man shot on Syracuse's north side

Syracuse (WSYR-TV) - A man is in serious condition after being shot on Syracuse's north side.

Police tell us 26-year-old Aubrey Anderson was shot at the corner of Butternut and Knaul Streets just before 6:30 Tuesday afternoon.

Anderson had emergency surgery at Upstate University Hospital to get the bullet out and is expected to live.

The suspect is described as a black male, in his late teens. He's 5'5", around 120 pounds and was last seen wearing a black coat, green pants and had a silver handgun.
