Man stabbed in Auburn home invasion

AUBURN, NY (WSYR-TV) - Police are investigating a home invasion on Barber Street in which a man was stabbed early Saturday morning.

Around 6:00 a.m., police were called to Auburn Community Hospital for a stabbing.

They say 24-year old William Snook was stabbed in the leg and taken to the hospital in a private car.

His injuries are are serious, but non-life threatening.

Police say Snook told them he was sleeping at his apartment when an unknown, masked intruder came into his home and demanded money. During the incident, he says was stabbed and the suspect got away with property.

The suspect is described as a 6'0" tall, wearing an unknown covering over his face, a black hooded sweatshirt and dark pants. It is unknown which way he fled from the scene.
