Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – A memorial service for a homeless woman found dead under a downtown bridge will be held this week. Police are investigating the woman’s death as “suspicious.”

The service for 42-year-old Michelle Noce will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the corner of Franklin and Evans streets near the homeless camp where she lived.

Father John Manno, pastor of St. James Church, will conduct the service.

Father Manno also recently conducted the funeral service for Timothy Wilkin, a 40-year-old homeless man who died as a result of a fire under the I-690 and I-81 interchange in Syracuse.

Noce was taken to Upstate University Hospital after being found unconscious by a friend on Saturday afternoon. She died shortly before midnight at the hospital.

An autopsy indicated that she died of a head injury.

Police are not calling Noce’s death a homicide, but they are looking for information on the events surrounding her death, including a report that she was involved in an altercation with a male on North Franklin Street and Herald Place earlier on Saturday.
