Utica (WSYR-TV) - Undercover officers brought the rendezvous' to an end.
Numerous complaints were reported to Utica police when unsuspecting visitors at Roscoe Conkling Park witnessed lewd behavior. The park is attached to Valley View Golf Course.
According to people who saw the encounters, men would meet to engage in sexual acts on themselves and with each other.
As people passed by, they complained about being accosted and propositioned while some men exposed themselves.
With blankets, undergarments, and other discarded items littering the area, officers decided to call in the Special Operations Unit.
An undercover officer, walking through the park, encountered several men who exposed themselves, grabbed the officer, and propositioned him.
Walkers, runners and vehicles frequently use the roadway, trails and wooded areas of the park where the men are accused of meeting for lewd acts.
