Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – The Morrisville Mustangs made program history when they won their first NCAA Division III Tournament game.

Now the Mustangs men’s basketball team is raising the bar, advancing to the Sweet 16 with a 66-61 overtime win over Rhode Island College.

Former Jamesville-DeWitt player Mickey Davis led Morrisville State in the win with 17 points. Henninger product Brandon Hanks recorded a double-double, scoring 12 and hauling down 11 boards.

Cortland graduate Jordan Prior scored 14 off the bench for Morrisville State.

Morrisville State will play St. Mary’s College in Maryland next Saturday.
