Motorcyclist flown to Upstate after Manlius crash

MANLIUS, NY (WSYR-TV) - Police are investigating a motorcycle crash that left the driver with potentially life-threatening injuries on Poolsbrook Road.

The crash happened at 4:30 on Friday afternoon, when police say 67-year old David Irwin of Minoa drove off the road and went down a steep ditch.

Irwin was thrown from his motorcycle.

He was taken to Upstate Hospital by helicopter in critical condition.  Saturday, Upstate reports Irwin is in fair condition.

Police are in the process of accident reconstruction to figure out what led up to the crash.
