Rome (WSYR-TV) - A motorcyclist died Thursday from injuries sustained in a head-on crash, State Police say. A driver caused the crash when she failed to yield the right of way around 3:33 p.m.

State Police say Hope Peck, 34 of Rome, failed to yield to cyclist David Page, 56, also of Rome, while she was making a left turn from Oswego Road onto Rome New London Road. Peck's vehicle hit Page's bike head-on. Page was headed southwest on Rome New London Road at the time of the crash.

Page was taken to Rome City Hospital after the crash, but died of his injuries there. Peck was uninjured.

State Police ticketed Peck for failing to yield the right of way, but say their investigation is continuing.
