LOS ANGELES (AP) - Authorities in Southern California say they found tracks around the burned out truck of a fired Los Angeles police officer suspected of three killings, but they did not lead to Christopher Dorner.

San Bernardino County Sheriff John McMahon said at a news conference Thursday night that 125 law enforcement officers were combing the area around Big Bear Lake for Dorner as a snowstorm approached and a three-state manhunt increasingly centered on the rural mountain community.

McMahon says deputies and officers are searching door-to-door for Dorner in the area where there are many empty vacation homes to hide in. He says the search will continue as long as conditions allow.

Dorner's burned pickup truck was discovered earlier Thursday near the Bear Mountain ski area about 80 miles east of Los Angeles.
