NYS DEC announces brush burning ban
Syracuse (WSYR-TV) -- As we approach spring, we’re all looking to get outside and start cleaning up our yards, but make sure you avoid any burning.
The State DEC issued a warning on Tuesday, saying the time frame starting Saturday through May 14th is considered a historically high-fire risk.
Residential brush burning is not allowed in order to prevent the risk of brush fires and wildfires.
Brush burning is allowed the rest of the year.
