National Grid establishes helpline for CNY flood victims
Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – National Grid is offering help to victims of the flood as the effort of cleaning up moves forward.
The company has a helpline established, especially for flood victims looking to get their power restored.
National Grid is also offering an emergency assistance program to connect customers with an inspector to make sure the repairs on their homes are safe before the electricity is turned back on.
Through the program, families will be reimbursed for the inspection.
National Grid urges customers to contact (800)642-4272 to speak with a customer service representative to request a ‘relight’ of gas services or ‘turn on’ of electric services.
