New SUNY Oswego science building dedicated on Friday
Oswego (WSYR-TV) - Thanks to the largest cash philanthropic gift in the history of SUNY Oswego, the school will have a new academic building on campus.
The Richard S. Shineman Center for Science, Engineering and Innovation was dedicated on Friday.
Doctor Barbara Palmer Shineman made a $5 million donation in memory of her late husband who was the founding chair of the chemistry department.
The majority of the money came from the foundation named after Richard Shineman.
The new building will open sometime in the fall.
