Albany (WSYR-TV) – Dozens of new members of the State Police will soon be hitting the streets and roads of New York.

A graduation ceremony for 133 men and women was held at the Basic School of the New York State Police Academy on Tuesday.

Gov. Andrew Cuomo addressed the group and thanked them for their service.

The new Troopers will report for field duty later this month.

For 10 weeks, they will be evaluated by field training officers.
