MANLIUS, NY (WSYR-TV) - A new YMCA opened at 140 West Seneca Street in Manlius on Saturday with an open house.
The location was formerly a tennis facility. It now boasts a new yoga center, gym, and an indoor turf field. After-school child care, athletic training and adult wellness classes will also be offered there.
A YMCA spokesman said the turf field is something the community has requested for some time now.
"Rather than traveling during the hard winters to other locations, throughout Syracuse, so it’s an opportunity to bring families together, strengthen the family, have a convenient location for them to exercise and play,” said Chris Nucerino with the Manlius YMCA.
Saturday’s open house offered families a chance to watch and take part in many of the activities the new YMCA will offer.
