EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) - Police are trying to find the suspects who broke into vehicles owned by some New York Giants while the team was beating San Francisco 23-3.

The team parks in a lot in East Rutherford and employs a security firm to guard the lot.

State Police Sgt. Brian Polite tells WNBC-TV in New York thieves broke a lock on the gate and gained access to the lot sometime after 4 a.m. on Sunday.

Polite says the thieves stole a 1996 Chevy Caprice.

Officials haven't released the names of the players who were burglarized.

Offensive tackle James Brewer tweeted: "Only in Jersey can someone be heartless enough to break into my car while we are in Cali making fans proud."
