New anti-cyber bullying features coming to Facebook
Undated (WSYR-TV/CNN) -- Changes are coming to Facebook in an effort to battle cyber bullying. The social network is adding tools to help victims of harassment and bullying more easily report the problems and hopefully resolve them.
Teenage users will have more options when classifying unwanted posts from others. They’ll also be given a short survey to rank how serious the problem is. And for the worst cases, users will be directed to Facebook’s suicide chat hotline.
Complaints about photos and tagging have also prompted Facebook to make changes. The new system will make it easier to distinguish between offensive photos and personal pictures that may just be embarrassing. The changes will be available to users by the end of the week.
