NewsChannel 9 is Everywhere, and now, we’re expanding to meet the needs of our viewers.

Beginning Tuesday, September 7th, “NewsChannel 9 at 10:00” will debut on WSYR 9.2 (Time Warner Digital 890, FiOS 470).  In a unique approach, with convenience in mind, we’ll be delivering the latest news and Storm Team forecast in 15 minute cycles, starting live at 10:00pm.  So choose your window, whether it’s at 10, 10:15, 10:30 or 10:45.

NewsChannel 9 @ 10:00 will be anchored by James Gaddis who comes to Central New York after five years as the main anchor at WBNG-TV in Binghamton, NY.
Viewers who prefer catching the news first thing in the morning will also have a new option. Also beginning Tuesday, September 7th, The Morning News on NewsChannel 9 will begin a half-hour earlier, at 4:30am.

Veteran anchor Dan Cummings will bring early risers the latest breaking news and overnight developments. Storm Team Meteorologist Chris Brandolino will anchor weather coverage.

Both newscasts will also be available via video stream on our website, 9wsyr.com.
