Auburn (WSYR-TV) -- An important part of movie history can be traced back to Central New York. It was in the city of Auburn that Theodore Case invented the movie camera that could also record sound.

It was back in the early 1920s when Case developed the technology that was adopted for use by Fox corporations.

NewsChannel 9’s Leigh Isaacson had a chance to tour Case’s original laboratory. See her story in the video to the left of this story. If you’re viewing this story with a mobile device, see her story in the video category.
