No more wind turbines in Madison County for at least another year

Fenner (WSYR-TV) – Wind turbines have been ruled out in the Town of Madison, at least for now.

Town Board members agreed to a one-year moratorium on the structures Thursday night.

Some say the turbines are an eye sore and don’t have long-term benefits; others say they’re not as concerned and say it’s a good way to create clean energy.

The moratorium will allow for more time to explore the possible impact of the turbines.
