Voters agreed to pass the referendum with an 80.6 percent approval.
1,650 votes were cast with 1,331 voting yes and 319 voting no.
The $2,020,000 proposal carries will not impact local taxes because it is funded through
The “pouring rights” deal with Coca-Cola along with State aid will cover the full cost of the Stadium upgrades.
Albany is picking up the full cost inside the high school where the district wants to change out its current classroom door locks - which can only be locked from the outside - to what's called intruder locks.
They can be locked inside with any school issued key, and only opened from the outside with the appropriate key. It will be quicker and safer, they say, for teachers to lock classrooms when necessary, and they still allow for smooth operations of the school day.
