Nursing official pleads guilty to felony hit and run

Syracuse (WSYR-TV) -- A nursing official at Saint Joseph’s Hospital admitted she hit a 13-year-old boy with her car and left the scene back in August.

Denise Deppoliti, director of clinical services, pleaded guilty Friday to felony hit and run.

Police say Deppoliti was driving on Lakeshore Road when she hit the boy who was crossing the street with his 7-year-old sister.

The boy was seriously injured.

Deppoliti is expected to be sentenced to 5 years probation. She could also lose her job.
