Syracuse (WSYR-TV) – President Obama will visit Syracuse’s Henninger High School on Thursday as part of a bus tour to discuss education and the economy.
A White House official announced the specific plans Friday for the two-day bus tour next week.
On Thursday, the president will also speak at SUNY’s University at Buffalo.
Obama will continue the tour Friday, taking part in a town hall event at SUNY’s Binghamton University and speaking at Lackawanna College in Scranton, Pennsylvania.
The White House says the president will talk about his goal for making higher education more affordable.
Syracuse Superintendent Sharon Contreras said in a statement, "It is a tremendous honor that the President of the United States has included the Syracuse City School District on his bus tour through New York and Pennsylvania."
She added that the district is "both proud and humbled" that Henninger High School will be one of the president's stops.
