Officials identify 5-year-old Black River drowning victim; missing man who tried to rescue him

Watertown (WSYR-TV) – Watertown Police have revealed the identities of a 5-year-old boy who drowned in the Black River on Saturday, as well as the missing man who tried to rescue him.
The boy who drowned has been identified as Zachary Finley of High Street in Watertown.
Search parties are still looking for 47-year-old Edward Lee Whitfield III of 111 E. Lynde St.
The say Whitfield jumped in the river trying to save the boy.
He was last seen wearing red pants and a red and white striped shirt.
Police say they will continue to launch periodic searches for Whitfield.
