Onondaga (WSYR-TV) -- The SPCA says one of the 14 abused horses seized from a farm in the town of Onondaga has died.

The mare suffered from colic, SPCA officials said.

The medical conditions of the others are still being analyzed.

According to the SPCA, a number of the horses are pregnant and many of them have worms.

The neglected animals were removed from a farm on Bailer Road last week.

An SPCA spokesperson says they know who’s responsible for the abuse, but will not release their name until the investigation is complete.
