Oneida County man arrested on sex abuse charges
Western (WSYR-TV) -- A 45-year-old Oneida County man is facing sex abuse charges.
Dwayne Kirk, from the town of Western – about 20 minutes outside of Rome -- is accused of sexually abusing a child and is being held in jail on $35,000 cash bail or $50,000 bond.
Kirk has been charged with one count of sex abuse in the first degree – a class D felony.
The investigation will be turned over to the Oneida County District Attorney’s Office.
The victim is undergoing counseling at the Oneida County Child Advocacy Center.
