Oswego County trio accused of destroying vehicle

Oswego (WSYR-TV) – Three people in Oswego County were arrested on Monday on charges that they destroyed a Ford Explorer at a home in Palermo.

According to the Oswego County Sheriff’s Office, the trio poured bleach on the vehicle, melted its steering wheel, and smashed its windows.

Brandon Lane II, 21, of County Route 85, Hannibal; Albert Lawler, 42, of Clifford Road, Fulton; and Mary Smith, 40, of State Route 3, Fulton, were charged with criminal mischief in the third degree, a felony, and conspiracy in the fifth degree, a misdemeanor.

Lane was arrested on a bench warrant charging him with parole violation. He is being held at the Oswego County Correctional Facility without bail.

Lawler and Smith were both arraigned in Town of Palermo Court. Lawler was also taken to the county jail and denied bail.

Smith was held in lieu of $3,000 cash bail or $6,000 bond.

The Sheriff’s Office is still investigating the incident.
