Oswego man charged with rape, sexual abuse of child

Oswego (WSYR-TV) – An Oswego man is accused of having sexual intercourse with a 12-year-old and is facing multiple charges.

Albert M. Moody, 69, of County Route 29 was arrested Wednesday.

The Oswego County Sheriff’s Office says the alleged intercourse and other sexual relations happened at a home in the town of Scriba in October, November and December 2011.

Moody is charged with Criminal Sex Act, a felony; Rape in the 1st degree, a felony; Sexual Abuse, a felony; and Endangering the Welfare of a Child.

He was arraigned in the Town of Scriba Court by Judge Adkins and sent to the Oswego County Justice Center in lieu of $5,000 bail or $10,000 bond

Moody is scheduled to return to court on October 4.
 
The Sheriff’s Office is continuing to investigate this case and does not know if there could be other victims. Anyone with more information should call the office at 349-3411.
