Oswego (WSYR-TV) – Six students were taken to the hospital after a pick-up truck driver ran a red light and struck their bus on Monday morning, according to the Oswego City School District.

The students – five from Kingsford Park and one from Oswego Community Christian School – were taken to a local hospital.

In addition to failing to stop at a red light, the pick-up truck driver was ticketed for speeding, Oswego Police told the school district.

Five ambulances responded to the scene at the corner of West Fifth and Utica streets.

None of the students sustained serious injuries.

The other 18 students on the bus went on to school, according to the school district. Three other students were taken home by their parents, the school district said.
