Verona (WSYR-TV) - The PGA Tour has returned to central New York. The opening round of the Turning Stone Resort Championship begins Thursday; the final pairings were released Tuesday.
This year's event has drawn the strongest field of players yet. Seventeen of the top 50 money leaders on tour will compete this weekend, including defending champ Dustin Johnson, Rocco Mediate, Robert Allenby, and Davis Love III to name a few.
The grounds have been closed to the public the last two days, but they will open up Wednesday in time for the pro-am.
Jim Boeheim will be among those teeing off at Atunyote. We're told the Hall of Famer will be paired with country singer Trace Adkins and actor Stephen Baldwin.
