Utica (WSYR-TV) – After two hours, a jury has found a man accused of killing an Oneida County Sheriff’s Deputy guilty on all counts.

Christian Patterson was found guilty of aggravated murder and two counts of aggravated attempted murder.

In June, during a standoff at his home in the town of Knoxboro, Patterson fired at Sheriff’s Deputies. He was found guilty of killing Deputy Kurt Wyman.

Law enforcement agencies including the Sheriff's Department had responded to Patterson's home after he threatened to kill his girlfriend and then himself. A six-hour standoff ensued. Wyman was wearing protective equipment, but the shot from Patterson's weapon struck him in the neck. Wyman was buried in Arlington National Cemetery.

Patterson faces life in prison.
