Endwell (WSYR-TV) -- A Southern Tier woman is accused of having inappropriate sexual contact with a male resident at a residential group home in the town of Dickinson.

State Police have charged 37-year-old Joyce D. Prince, of Johnston City, with criminal sex act and endangering the welfare of an incompetent person.

Police say Prince was an employee at the Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD). An investigation revealed that she had engaged in inappropriate sexual contact with a resident at the facility in September 2012.

Prince was released on her own recognizance and is expected back in court at a later date.

An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
