Slideshow: Storm damage photosSyracuse (WSYR-TV) – People in some areas of Central New York are cleaning up after a brief but strong line of storms moved through in the early afternoon Saturday, bringing rain and high winds.
There were scattered power outages and many reports of downed power lines. Power is expected to be back on for most by this evening, according to the
National Grid and
NYSEG websites.
Several large trees came down near Birch Road in Lakeland.
In the Seneca County town of Lodi, the National Weather Service reported a 40 foot by 200 foot roof was blown off a barn at Keady Road. There are also several reports of trees on houses in that area.
In Cicero, trees fell onto homes on Yukon Drive and Hamilton Road.
