Police: Auburn house fire is suspicious

AUBURN, NY (WSYR-TV) - Auburn Police say the cause of an Saturday morning house fire is unknown, but appears to be suspicious.

The fire broke out around 3:30 a.m. at 47 Logan Street.

When firefighters arrived, flames were shooting out of the house.

Three people lived in the home. Two of them were able to get out safely. The third person was not home at the time.

Police say two dogs died in the fire.

They tell us an investigation is underway and the preliminary investigation indicates the fire is suspicious.

The home suffered significant damage.

The Red Cross is assisting the people who lived in the home.
